Knowing the importance of Menstruation
Periods are a common, natural bodily function that every female experience monthly as they reach puberty. They are also a sign that a woman’s reproductive system is healthy. “Periods occur each month from a woman’s menstrual cycle when her ovaries release an egg” (Bras and Body Image). However, periods can also be a sign of a more serious medical condition like endometriosis. The vagina produces a discharge while on your period because the lining of the uterus is shedding. The mucous membranes have an increased amount of mucous when the woman is menstruating. Menstruation must happen monthly. Otherwise, it could signal a problem.

Exercise affects the female body and monthly period Exercising or working out while on your period can be a dilemma. There are some days that it might be impossible to exercise if you are feeling really sluggish. It is an individual decision. Some women feel excellent during their period, and they don’t let it stop them from working out. Some take precautions by using pads or tampons and changing them before or after the workout session. Others will simply work out in different clothing like shorts or a skirt. It is important to remember that the monthly menstrual cycle is an excellent example of what bodies do naturally, and as such, should not be regarded with shame
Exercising while having Menstruation is hard, but it can help alleviate menstrual symptoms. There are, however, some limitations. There are foods needed to avoid and exercises to do and not to do.
If you’ve been exercising regularly, it’s a good idea to continue to do so during your period. However, it’s best to back off on the intensity of your workouts if you’re feeling tired or sore.
While you may be feeling sluggish for the first couple of days of your period, it’s essential to keep up with your exercise regime. Walking may be a good suggestion as it’s easy and doesn’t require any equipment.
If you’re feeling lethargic and stiff, some exercises at this point in your cycle can help reduce cramps and pain and promote relaxation. The key is to find gentle and light exercises –too much physical activity at this point in your cycle can lead to cramps and pain.
It turns out that exercising during Menstruation isn’t a bad idea, but you must be careful. Strenuous or prolonged exercise is not recommended, but a little bit of practice is just fine.
There’s no evidence to suggest that inversion-type yoga poses can pull the uterus towards the head. However, it’s still important to listen to your body when you’re practicing yoga. If you’re feeling unusually fatigued, dizzy, nauseous, or if you’re experiencing increased pain or discomfort, stop.
